What happens to transparency when converting PNG to JPG?+
JPG can’t store transparency, so transparent areas are filled with the background color you choose. White is the default.
Why is the JPG so much smaller than the PNG?+
JPG uses lossy compression made for photos, so a photo saved as PNG often shrinks to a fraction of its size as JPG.
Will converting to JPG lose quality?+
A little, but at 90% quality it’s very hard to see. Screenshots with sharp text may look better kept as PNG.
Are my photos uploaded?+
