Why is the PNG bigger than my JPG?+
PNG stores every pixel without lossy compression, so a photo is often several times larger as PNG. That’s expected.
Does converting to PNG improve quality?+
No. It can’t bring back detail the JPG already lost, but it stops further loss when you edit and save again.
Does it make the background transparent?+
No. A JPG has no transparency, so the PNG is fully opaque. Round Corners and Circle Crop make transparent areas.
Are my photos uploaded?+
No. The photo is converted in your browser, and the photo never leaves your device.
