Questions
How much smaller will my photo get?+
It depends on the photo, but a quality around 70–80% usually cuts a camera JPEG by half or more with no visible difference. The new size shows before you download.
Why is my PNG still large?+
PNG keeps every pixel exactly, so lowering quality does little. Save it as JPEG or WebP instead, which usually makes it several times smaller.
Is WebP better than JPEG?+
WebP is usually 25–35% smaller than JPEG at the same quality and works in all modern browsers. Use JPEG when a site or app doesn’t accept WebP.
Are my photos uploaded?+
No. The photo is compressed in your browser and never leaves your device.
