Questions
How do I make 8-bit art from a photo?+
Use a pixel size of 1–3% and 4–6 colors per channel. Simple subjects with strong shapes turn out best.
Why does my pixel art look blurry after saving?+
JPEG smooths hard edges. Convert the result to PNG, for example with Convert Image, to keep sharp pixels.
How is this different from Pixelate Image?+
Pixelate Image hides parts of a photo. Pixel Art styles the whole photo and can reduce the colors.
Are my photos uploaded?+
No. The photo is turned into pixel art in your browser, and the photo never leaves your device.
